Admiralty Partners (API) is a multi-generational family office. For more than three decades, API and its affiliates have invested and advised exclusively within the global aerospace and defense sectors. With the next generation, API is transitioning into the sports industry while staying true to its core tenets and investment strategy.

The Team

Jon Kutler

Jon B. Kutler is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Admiralty Partners. Mr. Kutler began his investment-banking and private equity career on Wall Street in 1984, after serving ten years in various positions in the U.S. Navy. He has worked with Goldman Sachs, The First Boston Corporation and Wasserstein, Perella & Co., specializing in the global aerospace and defense sectors.

Mr. Kutler is a nationally recognized expert in the field of aerospace and defense. In 1992 he founded the Quarterdeck Family of Companies, including Quarterdeck Investment Partners, Inc, which he sold to Jefferies Group, LLC (NYSE traded investment bank) in 2002 to focus 100% of his efforts in private equity investments under the Admiralty Partners, Inc. banner.

Mr. Kutler is a Trustee of the California Institute of Technology. He serves on the Board of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he was Chairman or Vice Chairman for two decades. Mr. Kutler is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture. He received his master’s of business administration degree from Harvard University.

Caroline Kutler

Caroline Kutler is the Executive Vice President Sports and Media Investments at Admiralty Partners. Prior to Admiralty, Caroline was the Global Lead for Athlete Partnerships at YouTube. Caroline transformed the platform into a powerful tool for athletes and sports rights holders, spearheading the creation of YouTube’s first global athlete content business, enabling athletes to own their voice on YouTube.

Previously at ESPN, Caroline conceived and built sponsorship strategies for top global brands across ESPN’s professional sports portfolio. Caroline has held strategy and marketing roles at Wasserman Media Group, Fox Sports, and The New England Patriots. She is a founding Board Member of The US Olympic and Paralympic Foundation’s NextGen Board.

Caroline received her BA in Psychology from Harvard University where she played varsity soccer and won two Ivy League Championships with the Crimson.
